Introducing
EMILY SIMONETTI
2011 Romeo Peach Queen

Emily is the daughter of Kerry and Tom Simonetti and is 20 years old. She grew up in Washington Township, and is a 2009 graduate of Eisenhower High School. She has two older brothers, who attended college at Michigan State and Ferris University.

Emily is currently attending Oakland University, majoring in Education, but is in the process of transferring to Rochester College this fall, with a major in Ministry. She plans to pursue a career as a Pastor, possibly a youth or children’s pastor, but definitely a Pastor. She also will do local mission work. Detroit is one of the areas that she would like to do mission work in, but would also like to travel for short term work out of the country.

Some hobbies that Emily enjoys are playing with her Siberian Husky, Bently, listening to music, reading, and, of course, doing mission work once a week. She loves spending time with family and friends. Volunteering at Stony Creek Community church, particularly interacting with the children while their parents learn English, is something she truly enjoys. She also likes to go on the food distribution trips to Detroit to help out.

Emily has been babysitting twice a week for the same family for four years, and also works at Santinos. She would like to say to her community: “Thank you, you have truly made this experience amazing for me. It is a memory I will never forget. It’s an experience I will look back on for the rest of my life. It is everything I could ever imagine it to be and more. I have so far had an amazing time serving as the 2011 Romeo Peach Queen!”
